We do not watch you.
No analytics pixels. No Meta. No Google tags. Newsletter signups are the only personal data we touch — and we use them to send audit news, not retargeting.
A guide that tracks readers is already selling someone something. We are not.
We collect almost nothing, we sell nothing, we share nothing — and the few things we do log exist only to keep the site up and the directory honest.
01What we do not collect
This is the longer list, because it is the more important one.
- No Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or any other third-party analytics SDK
- No advertising trackers, retargeting beacons, or cross-site cookies
- No behavioural profiles, no audience segments, no lookalike-audience exports
- No session recording (Hotjar, FullStory, Microsoft Clarity, etc.)
- No fingerprinting libraries
- No personal data sold, rented, or "shared for business purposes" to anyone, ever
- No affiliate-link tracking on cafe or roaster pages
- No newsletter pre-checkboxes, no implied consent, no "deemed acceptance" flows
02What we do collect

03Cookies
This site does not set any tracking cookies. The only browser storage used is:
- A small preference cookie if you toggle a setting (currently: none — there are no togglable settings in Issue 01)
- The service worker cache, which stores the site's HTML/CSS/JS in your browser so the site loads instantly on repeat visits and works offline. You can clear it any time from your browser's storage settings.
No cookie banner is shown because none is required: we set no cookies that need consent under GDPR Article 5(3) or the ePrivacy Directive.
04Third parties we do load resources from
Two, for fonts. Both are configured to not track:
- Self-hosted fonts — Fraunces, Inter, and JetBrains Mono are served from
pattaya-coffee.com/fonts/(no third-party font CDN). Requests stay on the same origin as the page. - Cloudflare Pages — hosts this site. Cloudflare receives your IP address and request details to deliver the page. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
If you block web fonts at the browser level, the site falls back to system serif and sans-serif stacks defined in CSS — fully readable without the custom typeface.
05Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, California, or Thailand, applicable privacy law gives you the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email info@pattaya-coffee.com with the request. We will respond within 30 days.
Because the only identifying data we hold is your newsletter email (if you signed up) and any email correspondence you have sent us, deletion is usually straightforward: unsubscribe + email us asking us to purge the mailbox thread.
06Children
The site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please email us and we will delete it.
07Security
The site is served over HTTPS only, with HSTS, a strict Content-Security-Policy, and modern security headers. Vulnerability disclosure: see /.well-known/security.txt.
08Changes to this notice
If we change this notice in a way that materially affects what data we collect or how we use it, we will note the change in /changelog and bump the "Last updated" date below. Subscribers will receive the next newsletter issue with the change called out at the top.
